It is difficult to determine when the accessory shoe first appeared on Nikon SLR cameras. The very early ones might be a simple “cold shoe”, which could hold a flash but the triggering signal was sent via additional cable between flash and camera. You could fine one like that on a Nikkorex F (1962). Later, the electrical connections were made within the shoe. That’s when it became “hot” and was called “hot shoe”.

Keep to TTL mode if the flash is a dominant light source. Change to TTL BL when the flash needs to act as fill-flash or when the flash is in relation to the ambient light.

Появления на рынке нового широкоугольника Zeiss Distagon T* 3,5/18 я ждал с заметной долей нетерпения — отчасти, поскольку это одно из моих любимых фокусных, отчасти потому что было интересно, так ли хорош этот фикс, как про него говорят в интернетах. Тем более Рослетт писал, что сей широкоугольник не уступает эталонному никкору 14-24/2.8.
В свое время у меня был достаточно редкий Nikkor 18/3.5 и на тот момент он меня весьма устраивал по картинке. Но — жизнь фотодрочера нелегка, полна тревог и неожиданностей, вдруг купился знаменитый Distagon 21/2.8 и в силу нищебродства никкор пришлось продать, тем паче что один из моих хороших клиентов очень его просил.
Со временем стало понятно, что и от дистагона на камере кнопка «шедевр» не отросла, и 18 мм по-прежнему хочется. Но что собой представляет никкор я уже знал, а потому решил дождаться нового дистагона и посмотреть, за что же, собственно, дедушка Кобаяси хочет с меня слупить столько денег. В качестве оппонентов выступили Zuiko 18/3.5 и Nikkor 18/3.5 Ai-S. Zuiko, кстати, тоже было очень интересно попробовать в деле, поскольку объектив очень редкий и, по отзывам, чуть ли не эталонный ультраширик пленочной эпохи.

Pixel Fixer. Эта весьма полезная софтинка удаляет битые пиксели прямо из RAW-файлов. Поддерживаются камеры Nikon, Canon, Pentax и Leica M8.

Hot pixels (sometimes called stuck pixels) appear as brightly coloured spots in your images. They are often more noticeable with slow shutter speeds or high ISO settings. Given the location of these hot pixels, Pixel Fixer can automatically remove them from the raw data in one or more raw files. Dead pixels (pixels that always appear black) can also be removed by Pixel Fixer.

Hyper-Program worked like Program mode, except that if you dialed the shutter button, it would immediately change to Shutter Priority (Tv), as you change to specific shutter speeds. Similarly, if you dialled the Aperture dial, then the camera instantly changed to Aperture Priority mode (Av), as you set the aperture. No need to switch mode dials on the top of the camera. You just turned either the aperture dial or shutter speed dial to change between the modes at will. And if you wanted to return to the usual Program mode, you just hit the * (star) button. Intuitive and simple. (And no, this is completely different than Program Shift.)

Nikkor 24−70/2.8 или Tamron 28−75/2.8? Вот в чём вопрос…. Порою мне кажется, что Canon приплачивает Владимиру за регулярное поливание фекалиями никонианских икон. Шутка.

Так получилось, что в течении нескольких дней, Nikkor 24−70/2.8 был у меня в гостях... За это время, я успел его «пощупать» и сравнить со своим Tamron 28−75/2.8... Делал парные кадры на 28−50−70мм и диафрагмах 2.8−4.0−5.6, по центру и самому краю на Nikon D3, с фокусировкой с помощью LiveView для исключения неточности работы АФ. Даже хотел кропы выложить на всеобщее обозрение, но подумав, не стал делать этого. Почему? Да потому, что апологеты Nikon тут же начнут меня обвинять в том, что я «подстроил» результаты, а те кто решаться купить Tamron, могут запросто напороться на не очень качественный экземпляр, и тоже будут меня обвинять.
